,I do not know about you, but for me trying to maintain order in my home is a daily battle. As a family of five, with only one male in the house being my hubby Eric, there is always an abundance of “stuff” in my house. From princess dresses to craft supplies to more shoes than I care to admit for all of us 😳. Despite the abundance of stuff, like all homes, there is only a limited amount space to put it all. With also a limited amount of time to deal with it all. Although tidying up your home and your routine is definitely needed from time to time, so is the need to better organize the things and the time you have. Organization is key to getting and maintaining the order in our homes we all want.
I’m a person that craves order. So it is only fitting that 1 Corinthians 14:40 is one of my favorite verses.
Having order in our homes and in our lives is so important. We cannot be the wives and mothers we want to be if our homes and lives are in disorder.
Over time I’ve discovered that in order for me to have order in my life and in my home, I have to find ways to organize it all. Finding new ways to organize and new organization systems to use in my home is always exciting. Being organized not only lets us get a better handle on our stuff and the things going on in our lives. It also allows us to streamline some of the things in our lives.
When we moved from Georgia to Massachusetts we had to downsize. We not only had to adjust to living in a new place, we had to learn to live with less. So on top of having to get rid of a lot of our stuff, we’ve had to find new ways to organize the things we still have. While also creating new organization systems for the things we need.
So with the start of school around the corner for some of us or already started for others, I thought it was only fitting that this month’s flavor of the month be organization. Discovering new ways to not only organize our stuff, but also our lives.
Are you with me? And if so, I’d love to hear about the areas in your home
and your routine that needs organization in the comments!
